March 21st Bankruptcy Hearing
Motion for Relief 1113 Order/ $1.1 Billion Equity Claim
On Wednesday March 21, 2007 continuing arguments on our Motion for Relief from
the 1113 Order and arguments for our $1.1 billion Proof of Claim will be heard
before Judge Gropper, in New York.
The 1113 Order allowed Northwest to impose the Terms and Conditions of Employment
that we now work under. AFA’s $1.1 billion claim against NWA is
for the full value of the concessions incurred by the company’s abrogation
of our contract.
The rulings in these cases do not take place in a vacuum and it is extremely
important that NWA flight attendants attend this hearing. Our goal is to fill
the courtroom with a sea of flight attendants, in uniform, so that Judge Gropper
can see the faces of those affected by his decisions.
If you are planning to attend the hearing and would like to be put in contact
with other flight attendants, in order to share hotel expenses, Please
contact Member Mobilization at 1-866-795-4232, press 4 for the CHAOS office
or call Todd Hurlbut at 517-990-5655.
